INTRO TO REFORMER (BEGINNER)
Join us for Intro to Reformer, the perfect introductory pilates class to Maine Pilates. Whether you are new to exercise or looking to deepen your Pilates practice, this series will provide a supportive environment for you to learn and grow.
In Intro to Reformer, you will learn the basics of Stott Pilates equipment, essential exercises, and key terminology. Designed with a rotating curriculum, means it is easy to join any Intro Class at any time whether you are a beginner or seasoned practitioner.
For your safety, Instructor approval is required to join Reformer classes. When you can perform exercises in the Introduction classes with good form, fairly easily, and without a lot of explanation - you are ready to join Reformer or Healthy Living Reformer classes.
Typically 4-10 Introduction classes are required to learn and apply the foundational movements in your practice.
Please note: Clients who are in their second or third trimester of pregnancy must get studio approval before attending a class. You must be comfortable laying on your back for 10-minutes at a time. Pregnancy wedge pillows are available.
Please Note: This class is not recommended if you have any injuries or body sensitivities such as: Heart Conditions, Arthritis, Osteoporosis/Osteopenia or other bone density issues, Pregnancy second or third trimester, Shoulder, Hip or Knee replacements, Sciatica, acute or severe Neck, Back, and/or Spinal pain or medical conditions. Please join a Healthy Living: Reformer class or schedule a private lesson to create modifications for your group class.

REFORMER (INTERMEDIATE)
To ensure your safety and progress, Instructor approval is required before joining Reformer or Healthy Living classes.
This approval is based on your ability to perform exercises in the Intro to Reformer class with good form, fairly easily, and without a lot of explanation. Typically, 4 to 10 Intro classes are required to learn and apply the foundational movements necessary for Reformer classes.
Reformer classes offer a quicker pace ensuring a challenging and effective workout for individuals who have mastered the foundational movements of Intro to Reformer classes.
Please note: Clients who are in their second or third trimester of pregnancy must get studio approval before attending this class.
Please do not book this class unless you have approval.

HEALTHY LIVING REFORMER (intermediate)
Healthy Living (HL) Reformer classes are designed for individuals who want a slower-paced class with incremental learning. These classes move at a similar pace to our Intro to Reformer class and focus on gradually building strength, flexibility, and balance. Modifications are provided to make the exercises accessible for all participants.
In our Pilates Healthy Living Reformer classes, we incorporate movements safe for those with arthritis, osteopenia, osteoporosis, pregnancy, degenerated disc, or rehabilitation of injuries and chronic pain.
You will learn modifications and variations safe for pilates movement according to your body.

REFORMER jumpboard
This intermediate class uses a jumpboard is attached to the reformer to add a cardio element to your Pilates workout.
Jumpboard helps improve cardiovascular health by elevating your heart rate, strengthening your core, toning leg and glute muscles.
It also enhances coordination and balance, and provides a low-impact way to work on joint mobility, making it beneficial for individuals with joint issues or recovering from injuries; essentially giving you a full-body workout with a focus on controlled jumping movements.
